Whistle Project

We’ve developed a number of custom musical instrument designs for learners of all ages to explore where creativity and analysis meet, including concepts from the fields of music, math, science, and engineering. One such instrument is a whistle that uses a 3D-printed mouthpiece that fits on 1/2” PVC tubing. Depending on the length of the tubing (or where you drill holes), you can change the pitch of the instrument. The pathways you can follow with this simple concept are limitless.
